After the Training

The path to certification

Completing the 3-year program qualifies you to enter the international Hakomi certification process. Certification is based not on accumulating hours but on demonstrated proficiency in the method — a model closer to an apprenticeship or a martial art.

  • CHP — Certified Hakomi Practitioner: for professionals without a psychotherapy license
  • CHT — Certified Hakomi Therapist: for licensed psychotherapists

The post-graduate process typically takes 1–3 years, moving through one or more routes: individual mentoring, certification workshops, study groups and evaluated recorded sessions. Certified practitioners are listed in the international Hakomi practitioner directory.
